Cider B’s buzzing again

Three B’s micropub in Bridlington was packed with guests, including the town mayor, when it received its Yorkshire Cider Pub of the Year award.

Yorkshire cider co-ordinator Christine Jane presented the owner and operator of the pub Mark Bates with the 2023 winner’s certificate.

The judges were particularly impressed by the pub's ability to demonstrate its knowledge of products, customer service and inclusiveness.

The pub regularly sells more than 10 ciders at a time and, where possible, sources ciders from the Yorkshire region, including Tree Top Press and Udders Cider, as well as from makers in the more well-known production areas in the West of England and Wales.

The pub also sells four real ales sourced from within Yorkshire where possible, with around 90 per cent of the ales sold being from the county. Food is also available at the pub including home-made sausage rolls, parkin and butchers' pies and peas.
