The pioneering campaigning of beer lovers in South Manchester has been honoured with the unveiling of a blue plaque outside the pub where it all started.
In 1974, a meeting was called at the Printer’s Arms, a Robinson’s pub in Cheadle, to see if there was support for forming a CAMRA branch.
Organisers were delighted when 71 people turned up and the South Manchester CAMRA branch was formed....
