CAMRA authors have been shortlisted in the Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Awards 2024.
Desi Pubs by David Jesudason has been shortlisted in the Debut Drink Book category. The groundbreaking book is a fascinating guide to British-Indian pubs, food and culture. The guide is a celebration of 21st-century Britain and the forgotten people who created our modern, multicultural country.
Desi Pubs has previously won gold for Best Book about Beer or Pubs from the British Guild of Beer Writers Awards 2023, and David went on to claim the Michael Jackson Award for Beer Writer of the Year. It is available here.
Adam Wells has been shortlisted in the Drink Writer category. He wrote the upcoming CAMRA title, Perry: A Drinker’s Guide, which is set for release on 1 May. Paid for by a Kickstarter campaign, it is the world’s first dedicated and comprehensive guide to this traditional drink. You can pre-order your copy here.
The winners will be announced 2 May.
