Countdown’s Jeff Stelling (pictured right with What’s Brewing columnist Roger Protz) hosted a charity sports quiz in the Green Man pub in Sandridge, Herts. 

Stelling was working with Greene King, which was promoting its cask bitter Abbot Ale. Stelling presents Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports and is a former host of the television quiz Countdown.

Roger said: “It was a great evening, and the Green Man was packed with punters drinking Abbot and enjoying the quiz along with Jeff’s amusing anecdotes about his Soccer Saturday team, especially Kris ‘It’s Unbelievable’ Kamara.”

A generous donation was made to Dementia UK, the charity chosen by publicans Martin and Jo Crumpton.
