A multiple CAMRA award-winning rural Cheshire pub, listed in the Good Beer Guide for 30 years, is up for sale.
The Bhurtpore Inn is the only pub in Aston, near Nantwich, and is up for sale after licensees Simon and Nicky George announced they are retiring.
The pub features in BEER Autumn, where the owners described their passion for cask beer and the importance of keeping it at the heart of a pub.
The pub, which was voted South Cheshire CAMRA Pub of the Year four years in a row between 2017 and 2020, is currently home to the Wobbly Wheels cyclists, monthly folk music sessions and a vintage sports car club.
The pub, which has also run five-day beer festivals for 21 years, features in many guides and has twice been CAMRA National Pub of the Year.
Regular folk music sessions are held in the pub, while music festivals are organised two or three times a year inthe field behind.
Nicky George, who has owned the pub along with Simon (pictured above), since 1991, said: “We are looking to sell to somebody that hopefully has a similar view. It might be somebody that wants to do weddings or change things slightly. We'd like to still have a selection of real ales.
"We live next door, lots of locals come in here and we're friends with a lot of them. It would be nice to continue to use the pub, rather than being on the wrong side of the bar.”
Whoever buys the freehold needs to enjoy cars. The large field behind the premises has a vintage sports car club gathering once a month.
