Lion pounces on regional titles

The White Lion in Oak Street, Norwich has won both East Anglia Cider Pub of the Year and Norfolk Pub of the Year.

A real favourite with ale and cider drinkers alike, the White Lion describes itself as a village pub in the city.

Licensee Oscar Gerdes said: “We are ecstatic to receive these awards! With so many great pubs in Norwich, it’s a great accolade.”

Norwich and District branch chairman Ian Stamp said: “I would like to congratulate Oscar and his team. Getting through each round to then go on to win the Norfolk and East Anglian finals demonstrates the time and commitment the team has invested in looking after its customers and the drinks it offers.”
