Eleven remarkable pubs have been given extra planning protections following a unique collaboration between the Campaign and Historic England.
Whitelock’s Ale House in Leeds (pictured – photo Michael Slaughter) and Prince Alfred in Maida Vale are upgraded to Grade II* as part of the project to help save rare historic pub interiors.
The two Grade II*-listed pubs are among the top 5.8 per cent of protected historic buildings in England and are in the company of the Old Bailey Court of Justice in London....
