Brewer’s dray horses are back outside the former Vaux brewery in Sunderland city centre thanks to local artist Ray Lonsdale.
The metal sculpture, which was unveiled last month, was commissioned by the city council to commemorate the brewery which closed in 1999. Called Gan Canny, it stands in Keel Square directly opposite the site of the former Vaux brewery, which operated in Sunderland for 162 years....
