CAMRA member Ray Turpie has been elected to the executive of the European Beer Consumers Union. The vote took place at the organisation’s October meeting in Madrid.
Since Spring 2016, Ray has been chair of CAMRA’s public affairs committee and is a former director for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Ray said: “I am delighted to have been elected to the EBCU executive.
“Through my work on CAMRA’s public affairs committee I have worked closely with CAMRA’s delegates to the organisation for a number of years and recognise its importance in providing a voice for beer consumers across Europe.
“I hope to use my experience in campaigning and lobbying on behalf of CAMRA to drive forward EBCU’s campaigns on better beer information for consumers as well as beer and health.”
