The Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) has had a gin bar for many years but, this year, for the first time, it will be hosting a beer and whisky tasting.
Taking place on the Thursday afternoon (3 August) the price is only £28 thanks to the support of the Queens Head in Acton Street, WC1. Great value for four whiskies (25ml) and four beers.
Trainer and World Whisky judge Christine Cryne said: “Whisky and beer are a natural fit. After all, they are both made from malt, water and yeast. I’ll be starting with an accessible Speyside whisky and then moving on to whiskies from the wonderful Tomatin and Aran distilleries plus one from Torabhaig, the new distillery on Skye, all matched with four tasty beers. Going to be a great afternoon.”
