Scotland’s biggest beer fest returns

After a two-year hiatus, the Ayrshire Real Ale Festival is returning from 6-8 October at the Troon Concert Hall. Organised by Ayrshire and Wigtownshire CAMRA , the event is Scotland’s largest beer festival.

With around 150 cask ales, the event celebrates local brewers such as Ayr and Isle of Arran, as well as beer from all over the UK. The festival will be highlighting Manchester brewers in the Walker Hall bar, including Marble and Blackedge.

Alongside beer, festival-goers can enjoy 30 real ciders and perries, a designated gin bar plus wines and a selection of soft drinks.

Festival tickets are £7 (CAMRA members £5) which includes a souvenir glass. As well as a reduced-price ticket, CAMRA members can also take part in the festival preview on the Thursday from 12pm-2pm before the event opens to the public.

The festival opens its doors to the public on Thursday 2pm-11pm, Friday 11am-11pm and Saturday 11am-10pm. Live bands will be performing on both the Friday and Saturday.
