Liverpool and Districts branch has given a special award to the Lock & Quay pub in Bootle for its commitment to its community..
The pub, formerly the Little Merton, stood empty and derelict for many years, until it was bought for the community by local charity SAFE Regeneration using National Lottery funds.
During Covid lock down the pub stayed connected with the local community via online events such as streaming open mic nights, it also provides a food bank service....
