Planning permission to turn a Bristol pub into flats was unanimously refused by councillors almost a year since it was first granted, writes Chris Faulkner Gibson.
Usually when planning consent is granted, it’s game over for anyone who tried to prevent it. But local publican Nick James spotted a flaw – the case officer dealing with the Windmill planning application had not addressed the 2010 Equality Act in his report, which meant the committee hadn’t dealt with it either....
