Stockport branch is organising a beer week in the town.

It’s the third time the town has organised an event, timed to coincide with National Cask Ale Week, (21 September –  1 October), the town will see eleven days of events celebrating local breweries and pubs.

As well as offering discounts for tours, Robinsons Brewery will be holding a beer festival of local brewery beers in its award winning visitor centre. Stockport Market Place will be a hub of activity; the cellar tours of some pubs will return as will the beer related tours of the 15th Century Staircase House and the historic pub walk. Also returning this year will be the very successful ale trail around several pubs with T-shirts on offer for those who complete the course.

Beer Week Coordinator Chris Walkden said: “It all starts on 21 September with the branch pub of the month award at the Petersgate Tap and the launch of the beer week beer. Over the next 11 days, there’s something for everyone. Most events are free, so come along and support the local pubs, drink some good beer and have a good time with fellow beer enthusiasts.”
