Make hay while there’s free beer

Try Hook Norton’s latest seasonal beer for free, when Haymaker is launched in its pubs on 2 July.

The centre of the celebrations will be the Butchers Arms, Balscote, North Oxfordshire, where guests can enjoy the 5 per cent ABV returning cask beer. North Oxfordshire CAMRA will also be on hand to present the pub with its Pub of the Year award.

Elsewhere, free samples will be available from 6pm at the Butchers Arms, Kings Sutton; Great Western Arms, Aynho; Hare and Hounds, Wardington; Star Inn, Sulgrave; Bell, Adderbury; Red Lion, Steeple Aston; Castle, Oxford; Elephant and Castle, Bloxham; Coach and Horses, Shipston-on-Stour; Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn, Banbury; Fox, Chipping Norton and Pear Tree, Hook Norton.

A brewery spokesman said: “Whether you’re chasing the sunshine, sheltering from a summer shower or simply looking for a great pint, put down your pitchfork, roll up your sleeves and gather round. With free samples, award-winning hospitality, great company and plenty of cheer, there's no better way to welcome the return of Haymaker.”
