Meantime hosts women’s brew day

Meantime brewery hosted 15 participants in this year’s Unite at 10 International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD).

This is the 10th year of IWCBD, a worldwide annual event open to all women working in the sector or interested to learn more about beer and brewing.

Meantime invited the 15 women to its Greenwich site to brew 2,000 pints of a lager on its pilot kit. The day featured hands-on brewing and a rare insight into the inner workings of a modern brewery. This included talks from some of Meantime’s women brewers and colleagues in different areas of the business including quality, packaging, engineering and sustainability.

Meantime operations manager Zoe Edwards said: “We were delighted to open our doors for the International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day this year. At Meantime, we’re really proud of the role women have played in beer throughout history, and we have a number of brilliant and talented women on our team here today. It was a fantastic day, and we hope all our guests enjoyed experiencing the magic of bringing a new beer to life with us.”
