CAMRA members and branches are urged to start planning now if they are to make the most of Cask Ale Week 2019.
The ‘Week’, lasting 11 days in total, will run from 19-29 September 2019 and celebrates Britain’s favourite drink.
The organising team are now keen to drum up interest in events, socials, tastings and more, to ensure a proper celebration of cask ale.
This year, Red Flame is working with Cask Marque to provide the Cask Ale Week platform – which is open to all. Pubs and breweries don’t have to be members of Cask Marque to join in. The only request is for those involved to serve their cask ale in good condition, and at 11 – 13°C.
Leading the way for engaging events is Stockport Beer Week, which will coincide with Cask Ale Week. Stockport and South Manchester CAMRA members have been working hard to secure a range of beer events, including festivals, cinema screenings, beer tastings, educational beer talks, meet the brewer evenings, quiz nights and much more.
Chris Walkden, Stockport Beer Week co-ordinator said: “Our aim for the Week is to drive footfall into Stockport and get people to experience the fantastic beer scene it has to offer.”
For other branches interested in raising the flag for Cask Ale Week, the organising team are on-hand with ideas, promotional materials and digital media. The more you can involve pubs, breweries and local media, the more impact you will make!
