The University of Warwick is located close to Coventry City and in easy reach of Rugby, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa and Warwick. The University’s website https://www2.warwick.ac.uk/about/visiting/ has information on getting there by car, bus and coach. Our event will be held on the Central Campus of the University.
By car: For those arriving by car the postcode for the central campus is CV4 7AL – and will be clearly signposted as you approach via the A45 or A46.
Pay and Display parking is available on campus. Monday to Friday prices are up to 4 hours £2.20 and full day £4.50 and is free after 6pm and all day Saturday or Sunday. Overnight parking is only available in CP8 (multi-storey by the Sports Centre) or CP15 (multi-storey as you enter campus) and ends at 6am. Please have the correct change for car parks as none can be given.
Parking on campus is free for blue badge holders and there are disabled spaces near all the campus buildings. Please note that motorhomes and caravans are not permitted to park overnight anywhere on campus. For those staying at the campus hotels, parking is free in the dedicated car parks.
By rail: There are various rail stations that are easily accessed from the campus and they offer excellent links to Birmingham, London and many other major UK cities.
Coventry Rail Station is approximately four miles from the campus, and is the nearest mainline train station to the University. You can easily reach Coventry station from London Euston and Birmingham. From Coventry Station there are frequent local buses to the University. There will be volunteers to help direct you at Coventry station at key times over the weekend (this information will be in the Members’ handbook mailed out to all pre-registered members in early April and on the AGM website in due course).
Taxis are also available from outside of the station.
By coach: All CAMRA members can get 20% off travel booked through National Express – please see details at https://members.camra.org.uk/group/guest/national-express
There is a range of accommodation available – including on campus – to suit all tastes and budgets.
